I grew up in the country. A small town about 1 hour North East of Toronto. Bethany. I had a 45 minute bumpy bus ride and our school was smack dab in the middle of a bunch of country roads and small towns. I adore our area of Ontario, it’s peaceful and beautiful and there really are tons of roads I have never been down (and likely will never go down) and area’s I haven’t explored. When Michelle first contacted me, I was curious if I knew her as her maiden name was on her email and it’s a name that triggered with me. Plus it’s not super common. Sure enough, they lived in the same area where I grew up ( a road I hadn’t explored) and when I walked in the front door, we knew each other. We went to school together. We were all put at ease immeadiately and it was the start of an awesome in home session. They have a working horse farm with over 200 horses. An incredible property and lovely home. It was so peaceful. It totally made up my mind, I want to move back out that way and have some space and quiet. I love it.
I was there to photograph their second daughter, baby M. She was every bit as adorable as her older sister is (whom I had just met that day also).
One lucky Daddy with three gorgeous ladies.
I loved the colours in this quilt and when I saw it hanging on the back of their rocker, I knew we would be using it. It just suits…so soft and pretty.
This is one of my favourite images from the session. It’s so serene and soft. The light coming in. It makes me just let out a big sigh when I look at it. Peace and Perfection.
