If you know me at all, you know I love weddings that are personal and filled with love and story.
I was completely looking forward to this wedding. You see, Jeanette is the last of her sisters to get married on the family farm and I was lucky enough to photograph her sister Candice’s wedding 2 years earlier. Same awesome family, same awesome place. I must admit, it was bittersweet, because I always have so much fun with this family.
Jeanette is a graphic designer and all the ladies in her family give Martha Stewart a run for her money. The details and touches are incredible and I couldn’t wait to capture it all.
The day started out with the boys. I really enjoy starting pictures with the guys because they always seem to be the most nervous (and it’s normally all of them, not just the groom) so getting some laughs in, having a drink or two, really relaxes them and puts them at ease for the rest of the day. Added bonus, Brennan’s two cutie patootie niece’s were getting ready there too.
Soon after I headed across the street (yep, love me one location!) and couldn’t wait to see the ladies. All of my expectations were met. They all looked lovely and Jeanette’s style was exactly as I had expected. Beauty and Grace.
Because Jeanette had to walk across the road to the ceremony site and Brennan could see her, he had to have his back turned. She had two family members hold old farmhouse doors and they pulled them apart once she was ready to come down the isle. It was perfect.
This family…love them!
Then we were off to head around the farm and have some fun while the guests were served yummy treats, bevy’s, played some games and had some fun in the photobooth! I love seeing when couples really think about their guests and make sure they are taken care of while the bridal party is having their photos taken. I don’t think these guests even noticed we were gone as they were having so much fun.
And finally…the DETAILS!!!! This barn is a working barn. It is normally filled with cattle! Amazing, you would never know it. I posted a few photos on my facebook page and people were asking if the place is available for weddings! Love it…
Wishing Jeanette and Brennan nothing but the best! Thank you so much for having me photograph such a special day. I had the best time!
