A few weeks back I headed to Toronto to photograph a big brother and his new baby brother and sister. Like all siblings, P has been making the adjustment to his big brother status. When I got there, I hung out with P first and let him warm up to me. He showed me his toy room, we read some books and I let him take some pictures of his toys with my camera (yes, he was a huge fan of all the buttons). All of this while Mom and Dad were downstairs getting the babies fed and settled. Once that was finished, we headed into Mom and Dad’s room for lot’s of family snuggle time. Of course, like all little boys, P loves to climb. Once I got out my step ladder, he was all about that, forget getting his picture taken. HAHA. He went and grabbed a book, climbed up on the ladder and started reading to the babies. An awesome moment I was so thankful to be able to capture for his parents. Definitely my favourite image from the session. Another one of those organic and authentic moments that happens with an in home newborn session. P is a wonderful big brother and I know he is going to love having a brother and sister in the very near future. I know my daughter Olivia loves having her little sister Lauren to boss around, dress up, play outside with and love unconditionally (even when Lauren is stealing her Barbies or hogging the bathtub toys).
